Miti (Mariateresa) Aiello is an Italian-Californian architect, artist
and architecture professor who
studied, taught and practiced in the
United States, where she lived for 28
years. Her core academic area is Architectural and Urban History and
she is passionate about cities.
She is a life-long world traveler who
has returned to her native Italy and
is excited about sharing her love for
the beauty, culture, and history of
Calabria, where she spent her teen
years. To this end, MiA Calabria was founded.
Miti is also a Mayo Clinic certified
wellness coach; she loves to meditate, draw, paint watercolors, practice yoga,
and exercise. She is an avid reader and a published poet.

Luisa is an architecture and environmental design professor, currently living and practicing in San Diego, California. Prior, Luisa lived, taught and traveled extensively throughout Asia and the Middle East region while working for the largest oil company, Aramco. With a continued passion for discovering beautiful off the beaten path places, and interesting people, she thrives in integrating unique scenarios in her teaching, art and writing.

Professor Giuseppe Pisano, a scholar of Calabrian history, holds a degree in Literature and a specialization in Library Science and Archival Studies. He serves as a tenured teacher in high school and higher education institutions. He has published the following books: "The Jesuit College of Catanzaro and its Archival and Library Heritage after the Suppression" in 2008; "The Mysteries of Montauro: the Italian Rennes-le-Château". in 2013; the essay "Templar Shadows in Umbriatico" in 2014 ; the essay "Christopher Columbus and Saint Francis of Paola: a Common Goal, the Crusade Against the Turks." in 2015. Prof. Pisano specializes in the history of the Knights Templar and is an authority in the fields of Calabrian history and culture. He has lead tours for decades, as did his father.
Prof. Pisano is also the author of over 100 articles in various periodicals, some of which have been reviewed in authoritative journals and documentaries on various towns in Calabria. He has participated and continues to participate in conferences (both domestic and international) and television broadcasts.
He lives in Soverato, Calabria.
